This book is timely, considering the world’s fascination with the supernatural—proof that we all are desperate to hear the voice of God. Dr. Robert Munien Prophesy, in its simplest terms, is hearing God and speaking. All the children of God are capable of doing so…but not many do. A prophet’s gift is to equip the saints to distinguish the voice of the Spirit of God from all other voices. There is much prophesying today, but people are still dependant on others to tell them what God is saying. The season has changed, however; and a new type of prophet is arising in the Church—one who pursues the original mandate for the prophetic calling: “For the equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry…” (Eph. 4:12). Vishal Jetnarayan is one of this new breed of prophets. He is bold and practical. He came of age in South Africa during the difficult days of transition from apartheid to liberty, and his maturity evidences this training. It is not designed to make everyone a prophet.
